New song
Holli says it's my theme song.
And she's pretty much right.
There...you all know me a little better now-happy?
thought so.

Little tip I read...
Haha....beautifully put, don't you think? So funny, I could totally see someone in my family saying that (probably to me).

LOL
Interesting isn't it, how our very bodies seem to betray us when we need them most, through a maniacally sinister sounding giggle just when we least expect it. Well fear not, fellow harbringer of awkwardness, we all know that laughter is the best medicine...and here are a few fun factoids to make us feel a little more warm and fuzzy toward our embarrasing outbursts of hysteria.
Fun Facts
- Laughter appears to reduce levels of certain stress hormones hence nervous laughter.
- Laughter is Aerobic – meaning it increases the oxygen intake in your body and also gives your diaphragm a good workout, which in turn is excellent for asthmatics or anyone with a lung disorder.
- Stress Hormones are lowered by laughing. Stress hormones can constrict blood vessels and suppress immune activity.
In a study published in the Journal of Holistic Nursing, patients were told one-liners after surgery and before painful medication was administered. Those exposed to humor perceived less pain when compared to patients who didn't get a dose of humor as part of their therapy.
- Muscles relax during and after a good laughing session.
- Laughter positive effects all body systems, respiratory, circulatory, blood, cardiac etc.
Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, has compiled some fascinating facts:
Laughter helps these cells to "turn it up a notch".
- An increase in T Cell activity (very important in the treatment of AIDS) Laughter helps these cells to “turn it up a notch”.
- An increase in IgB, the immunoglobulin produced in large quantities and an increase in Complement 3, and this helps antibodies to attack dysfunctional and infected cells.
- An increase in natural killer cells that attack viruses and some types of cancer and tumour cells.
- 13 muscles are used to smile, but 47 are required for frowning. You have to smile nearly a quarter of a million times to make 1 wrinkle.
- 15 minutes of laughter equals the benefit of 2 hours sleep.
- One good belly laugh burns off 3 1/2 calories.
- The Chinese laugh more than any other culture in the world
University of Chicago studies show a great sense of humor can add 8 years to your life.
Laughter releases endorphins into the body with the same exhilarating effect as doing strenuous exercise.
Laughter can actually help to lower blood pressure and is also very good for people with diabetes.
Charles Darwin believed that one's facial expression can actually influence one's moods. Studies in bio-feedback confirm Darwin's belief. People smile only 35% as much as they think they do.

Barbie
Animal print- can you think of a classier way to dress up any outfit? NO, the answer is no I can't. If it is good enough for the king of the jungle then by George, it is good enough for me. Cheetah, leopard, zebra (whispered with awe)...lovely.
Twinkle lights- again lovely, they're like magical little fairy lights peeking out in the garden, they can be covered with sweet little rice paper lanterns, and they lend there special air of excitement to the whole house at Christmas time..be-a-u-ti-fulll!
And Barbie-Yeah...that is a color-me-barbie head a-peekin' out from inside my header, and while I was never an overly fru-fru girly-girl, Who doesn't like being able to pick out the most outrageous outfit possible, in the teeny-est-tiny-est size, and to be able to comfortably slip it on to your 5 foot, 9 inch (all leg of course) 36-18-33 body. Yep...I thought so. So of course she ranks a place in my favorites. Dressing barbie, brushing her poly-blend hair. I'm not even ashamed to admit that given a dirty toy room full of half dressed dolls, I will still happily pick out a funky outfit and lovingly de-snarl that synthetic hair.
Hmmm..not much to say now...but of course there will assuredly be plenty more opinion posts to come, because lets face it- even if I were married....even if I had ten "little blessings" running about....I would still be the most fascinating person I know.
**Just in case you don't know me as well as I pretend you do-my brand of humor, while not particularly funny, is heavily laden with sarcasm and bragging.......so just laugh.

Anyway here are some new pictures of my favorite nephews. First an adorable shot of Baby Aiden with his big brown eyes wide open!
And Now, an oh-soooo-sweet picture of the two bubba's taking a little nap together.
Don't you just want to squeeze these little cutie-pies, being all sweet to each other....shucks..I love it!!!
So other than going ga-ga for these little rugrats [above]. I have been doing a whole lot of nada (well, that is nada interesting.)
Here's how I managed my boredom, on this fine [overcast and chilly] Friday.
Viola! We got these great little canvas thingys way back when we caught the craft bug from cassie (when she still lived her...yeah....that long ago.) and we hadn't really done much with them, you know-no time- what with the school, and the homework, and the lazy.
Anywho, I am "planning" on burning all of you's* retina's with a mind blowing display of my unethical use of colors and mad* collage skillz. But since, I rarely quote/unquote finish my little artsy fartsy projects I figured I may as well blog it now.
1. you's
wrongful translation of "you", used only by inbreds and whitetrash of countryside Ontarians. Use of this word in actual social settings may result in loss of friends or life.
Jamie, you's not a gangsta, you's a wanskta
2. mad
Most predominantly used in the greater New York area, "mad" is an appropriate replacement for Northern California's "hella" and Boston's "wicked." In the common vernacular, it translates into "a lot" or "extremely." Can be used almost interchangeably with any of the above listed words. It's mad hot today. She has mad problems.

So sad
But sitting here at 12:57 a.m. laughing while I watch Holli mimick the creepy "latina" ad girls for "fonochat" that invade late night t.v. (during Chelsea Lately), I realize that I have a gold mine of interesting observations in this oh so funny best-y of mine.
So, although I know that when I re-read this blog during daylight I will probably gasp in horror at-what-at-the-time-seemed-funny-but-now-notsomuch, right now I'm still giggling...so be warned....!!!... there may be more to come. (but maybe not-we all know how often I update this thing- I mean really, any one else completely annoyed with hearing Playradioplay! ? ;-})
